White Label Series
The White Label series is Smidge’s midrange tier and all wines are straight varietals. The Adamo (latin to fall in love) is the mainstay of the range, a classic Barossa Shiraz blend of declassified ‘S’ barrels.
The Adelaide Hills Viognier remains the only white wine in the range, named the Cellar-pod after it’s first vintage produced 8 barrels, Matt’s approach has consistently been to make this wine in a more austere style often providing a refreshing surprise to both those new and not so new to Viognier.
The last in the series is the Tardy, from which the Smidge story began, a Zinfandel from Langhorne Creek. Matt continues his love affair with the variety and continues to surprise even the most jaded cynic of Zin.
